Tessellate presents a literary workshop for young writers with Francesca Marciano. She will discuss basic writing skills, genres and writing fictions. Francesca is the author of three novels and a short story collection published by Pantheon Books: Rules of the Wild was a New York Times Notable Book of that year; Casa Rossa, The End of Manners and “The Other Language” which was shortlisted for The Story Prize. She writes for the Italian cinema, and her screenplays have won several awards. She has lived in the Unites States and in Kenya and is currently living in Rome.

We are happy to announce that Rajat De and Debjit Paria will be conducting a Coding Workshop on Friday, 1st February. The workshop will focus on some algorithms very fundamental to computer science followed by a problem solving session to keep the audience engaged. The workshop will be held on 1st February 2019 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Rajat is an IOI Silver Medal Winner and Debjit is an INOI Awardee. They are both students of Chennai Mathematical Institute and have qualified for the ACM ICPC world finals.

We at team Tessellate are proud to present the most awaited and the most anticipated guest talks of this year's fest. The chief guests of Tessellate will be addressing the students on the three days.

On Friday,we have Mrs. Virgil D'Sami, child rights activist, former state convener of Campaign Against Child Labour (CACL), Tamil Nadu and currently the head of Arunodhaya Centre for Street and Working Children. She will be delivering her talk at 11 a.m.

On Sunday afternoon, Dr. K.M. Cherian, Padma Shri, will be with us. Dr. Cherian is a heart surgeon who performed India's first coronary artery bypass surgery. He is also a former honorary surgeon to the President of India. His talk will commence at 1 pm.

On Saturday afternoon, we have Dr. V. Shanta will be with us. V. Shanta is an Indian oncologist and the chairperson of Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai. She has dedicated herself to the mission of organizing care for cancer patients, study of the disease, research on its prevention and cure, and in developing specialists and scientists in various subspecialties of oncology. Her work has her won several awards, including the Magsaysay Award, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award given by the Government of India. She will speak from 3pm.
